There is a saying that says knowledge is power, and the man who never reads lives only once.
On that note the first book that I like the most is
The Age of Cryptocurrency: How Bitcoin and Digital Money are Challenging the Global Economic Order by Paul Vigna and Michael Casey
We all know that in the future, Bitcoin may be used to buy anything, from a house to a villa, from coffee to cars, but for now, the reality is that only a few people properly understand what it is. Now, why should anyone be interested in bitcoin?
Michael Casey is a WSJ columnist and the author of three critically acclaimed books, along with Paul Vigna, who is also a WSJ journalist who has been covering bitcoin and cryptocurrency since 2013. Both of them have provided a convincing answer to this question in this book.
They have extensively talked about the mistrust of the financial system of the world and the significant impact bitcoin and cryptocurrency will have on our economy and the world.
If you've read books by the crazy bitcoin people, this one stands up well and is a wonderful place to start.
Now, second on my list is
The basics of bitcoins and blockchains: an introduction to cryptocurrencies and the technology that powers them by Antony Lewis
This is another must-read book. The author of this book, Antony Lewis, has tried to cover almost every issue in the crypto space to provide an overview for the reader.
In my view, this book will make sure that you cover everything about crypto so that you can easily grasp the fundamentals. And, this book is written in such a way that even someone unfamiliar with cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology can understand it.
Now let’s move from the basics to some intermediate levels, and let’s come to my third book,
The third book, in my view, is unique in many senses. Because
- It not only focuses on the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies,
- But it also provides an overview where you can put yourself in the shoes of an investor to better understand how the crypto market works.
And the book is
Cryptocurrency-A Trader's Handbook: A complete guide on how to trade bitcoin and altcoins
It is now a fact that when we talk about cryptocurrencies, we can plainly see a divide in society. Our society is currently divided into two groups.
- One who believes in cryptocurrency technology, and another
- who believes that it is a bubble and it is going to collapse.
But apart from that divide, there is a third section of the population that is still unsure of what blockchain is, and if they want to understand its potential and use it as a tool to earn money within the economy, this book is for them.
This book will teach them everything they need to know about cryptocurrencies and their investing potential. This will teach them,
- How do cryptocurrencies work?
- How can cryptocurrencies be used within the economy?
- How to conduct fundamental analysis
- How to conduct technical analysis
- How to invest confidently and successfully in crypto?
And a lot more.
The best part about this book is, that it doesn't matter if you're completely new to crypto or if you already know a little bit about it. This book will help you a lot in every aspect of it.
Another such book that falls into this category is, which I adore most,
Cryptoassets by Chris Burnishke and Jack Tatar
This is one of those books that practically everyone recommends.
It is written by Chris Burnishke and JackTatar.
Chris is a partner at Placeholder, a New York venture that invests in decentralized information networks and there is a company called Doyle Capital Management that invests in early-stage crypto businesses. Jack is the partner in charge of that company.
In this book, they not only observe Bitcoin from a financial standpoint, but they have also covered its technological perspective,
This book, Cryptoassest, informs us about three things:
- How are all crypto assets powered by groundbreaking blockchain technology?
- What is our understanding of finance and investment in this rapidly changing environment? and
- What are some factors to consider when investing in cryptocurrencies?
This book is practically recommended by everyone, so if you want to learn and earn, this book is probably for you.
So these are the four books you should read if you want to know more about blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
